| Summary | 0000599: Add the possibility to remove the song on the songs list. | ||||||||||
| Description | When we download some songs pack, we get a lot of songs, and some of them that we will never play. We can already delete them by looking on the songs directory. But it would be more easy to locate and delete these songs directly on the song directory. | ||||||||||

i really don't understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying, instead of deleting songs from the songs folder, delete the songs from the editor before edit mode? That might be a little complicated and confusing to implement, but who knows. ??? |

Sorry, I'm bad to write English because it not my native language. What I am trying to say it to add this possibility on the "Select music" screen. When I choose which music to play I see a music that i don't want anymore. I press delete and the music is delete. Not in the editor. It is more clear now? |

That might be a little difficult to perform. That would mean linking the deletion feature to the folder where the song resides. It can happen, but I think the current method will be fine for now. Just because you simplify something on one side doesn't mean it's simple on the other side. |

errr...That Piu PRO Build made from a Stepmania 4 Alpha by Boxrorsrsrsrsxsoxox(I really don't remember the name and couldn't find at goo.gl) has this feature, but I don't remember if it has opened the code... |

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. (I was involved in that and don't remember seeing any code added for it.) |

I actually agree with this. It was the main reason I was once trying to make a song manager application for Stepmania... Songs that you never play cannot be deleted. If it's difficult to do, that's too bad. Otherwise, it might be worth considering since it enhances managing songs quite a bit (in my opinion) because you can do it right in SM without having to recheck what song (and directory) it was in the file manager. Which can be a hassle on some song packs. I do think just pressing delete is too risky, though; better off showing "delete this song" in the song's options instead. What's the reason that this is so difficult to do, by the way? No direct access to the directory name that the file resides in? Having to handle deleting all the files in the song's dir, then removing the dir and updating the song list in sm? Maybe there's even more hassle involved? |
